Rule-Breaking Monday – Too Much Pink!

Click photos for larger view.

I've long been wanting to try out these pink tights with my six-strap shoes. I happened to have this skirt, which is a similar pink but darker and a camisole that was a similar pink but lighter. So I had no choice but to wear all three together. As it turns out, I love how the tights work with the shoes. But I'm not crazy over the skirt.

The pink tights never fail to get comments at work. There was a period of time during which I never failed to embarrass myself any time I was in the presence of a certain person who is very high up in our organization. Once, he saw me in these tights. While I actually did manage to not embarrass myself this time, he took care of that for me by announcing, “Boy, those are some PINK legs!” Yes they are. Thank you for noticing. ;)

How fortunate that I also just recently made a couple of pink hair flowers!  Nothing fancy; just some leftover silk flowers from the craft store with an alligator clip hot glued to the back and a rhinestone glued in the center.

So, what do you guys think of the "pink legs"?  ;)

i´m not very fond of pink, but that outfit looks very good. Maybe I would use a black skirt, but it´s still great.
And the pink tights are great...and I love your shoes :D

What a fun outfit!
I can't get myself to wear bright colors,it just doesn't feel right when I am not surrounded by black and other dark colors. But I may have to rethink, because I love the pink tights.

Love the "pink legs"! :)
I'm not sure about the skirt, though.
The two different shades of pink feel a little mismatched to me.
Would you show us the same outfit with a black skirt? Just for comparison?

There are those shoes I love again! And I agree, they look great with the pink tights. But the skirt does throw it just a teeny bit. Maybe if they were all the same pink instead of two different hues? But its not a bad outfit overall. Never thought I'd see you in so much pink! lol

*Eye scream.* [this is only because I don't like pink. I'll instead pretend it's purple, haha.]

Beautifully made flowers~! I don't think a darker skirt worked with the brightness of your... 'purple' tights, but it still looks nice. Perhaps for something else it will go better?

Lol, everyone. Okay, so this outfit didn't go over so well in the GothyBlogoSphere, but it was a big hit at the office. It's all about the variety! :)

Cute! You gotta wear bright tights to show off those awesome heels! I like this outfit 100%! With that color tights you may also want to try doubling up--a personal favorite thing to do of mine, especially in colder weather--wear fishnets or a lace pattern on top of the pink, or other bright color! I'll be doing it a lot more soon, as it is getting coooollllldddeerrrr here!

What? The tights are awesome! I can't wait to see them with other outfits. Like a patterned skirt. That needs to happen. My favorite thing is being gothy with color.

Hexotica, I saw that look in one of your outfit posts and I loved it! I will definitely try it. Oh yeah, you guys get winter when we get summer... Crazy!

alicatstrut, I don't think I own a patterned skirt, except a really long one. Good idea though; I will have to keep my eyes open!
